Pre-Kindergarten News

Exciting and energetic Pre K Students focused their week on the letter E.  It was an “egg”citing when they used their pincher fingers to sprinkle egg shells on their tactile letter E.  We were blessed to have Firefighter Jenni come and help us remember some great fire safety rules.  We heard the great story of Abraham and Sarah and the wife of Isaac, Rebekah and the blessing Isaac gave to Jacob.  We started working on printing number 2.

HOMESWEET HOMEWORK is practicing scissor skills and the sound of letter E.

Next week we will focus on letter F.  During our Jesus Times we will hear about Jacob’s dream.  We will even do a candy corn experiment.

SAVE THE DATE…Goebbert’s Pumpkin Farm-October 24th from 10:00 am-2:30 pm  Both classes take this trip together!  Be sure to let Mrs. Wassman or Mrs. Carr know about your Christian Care needs for that day!    A permission form went home on Tuesday.

Halloween Party Planners are starting to think of ideas. If you would like to be a part of this fun planning, please let me know and I will get you hooked up with the right people.

Pre-Kindergarten students, along with Preschool, make up our Angel Choir.  We will be singing in church on Sunday, October 22 at the 10:30 am service!  We would love for all students to join us in singing.

Please be sure to check out the information that went home this week on SCHOOLSTORE.com.  There are over 400 different stores to shop from.  It is very easy to use!!  Just go to SCHOOLSTORE.com first to register and then click on the store you would like to shop from.  Every purchase made through SCHOOLSTORE, a % is given back to St. Luke. What a great way to get your holiday shopping started or finished all by sitting on your computer at home and helping your child’s school!

The next Fun and Fellowship event is TRUNK OR TREAT!  Come to the school parking lot and ask for treats from school and church families trunks!  This is a wonderfully fun family event!  Dress the kids in their costumes and enjoy an afternoon of fellowship.  If you are interested in decorating your trunk, please let me know and I will sign you up.  We would love to fill the parking lot with cars for all the treaters!
