Pre-Kindergarten News

This week was filled with much Joy as we sang for our Christmas Program.  I was extremely proud of how well the kids all did.  Our JOY elf, asked us to spread JOY by using our singing voices, making pictures for friends, and giving out compliments to others.  We are working on finishing up some of our Christmas gifts and getting things ready for the New Year!

HOMESWEET HOMEWORK … is practicing printing the number 4.  For the number 4, we say, “down, over, down some more”.

This month our Chapel Offerings are going to St. Matthews in Chicago.  We will have a Happy Birthday Jesus Party on Wednesday, December 20th, after our Chapel time. Kindly bring a WRAPPED gift and label for a boy or girl and include the appropriate age for the gift, by Tuesday, December 19th.  Gifts will be delivered to the church on Thursday the 21st by our 7th and 8th graders.

On December 21st, we will have our classroom Christmas party.  In our classroom, I am stressing that Christmas is the season of giving and sharing love and kindness verses “give me”.  For our Christmas party, I would like all the students to bring in a canned good instead of goody bags.    I would like to have the canned goods brought in to show the children what a difference they can make to those who do not have food like we do.  The food will go to the Itasca Food Pantry.
